4th of July and Catching Up

It's been about 2 months since I've had time or the emotional energy to write about our lives, but I am starting to get things figured out slowly. So here goes...

On the fourth of July we had a BBQ with friends Jeanie and her kids, and Teresa and Ken. We kept it really chill and low key. We ate, hung out with the kids and just enjoyed each others company.








When it got dark, we did our firecrackers that we'd bought for the occassion. Every year, it seems to be a competition between the neighbors to see who can buy the most firecrackers. So, to avoid all the stupidity, we decided to set them off in our backyard where we have a huge section of gravel rocks which would keep it safe and off on our own.








It was a fun day though and lots of quality time with the family.
