I am a Superstar!

According to Jeanie (my SP sponsor), I did fantastic at my first party that I had for Misty. The next day after I talked to her she sent out an email to the entire group giving me kudos. I had to smile. Yea for me!

Also, I got the final interview. It's on Thursday. So, I hope I do well.

Interview and Slumber Party

So, I get a call from a woman who saw my resume posted and wanted me to come in for a position that she had open in her company that she thought I would be a good fit for. so, I went in yesterday and met with her. We had a good "meeting" and she asked me to complete the next step in process which is to take a personality profile test that their company requires for some of their positions. She said she would email it to me. She also said that if they decide that i would be a good fit then I would find out by friday or so if they wanted to meet for a final interview. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The position is basically doing what I do now, but with more money year. Which in this day and age, and economy, is an important thing. So, we'll see.

I had a Slumber Party last night at Misty's (she was the hostess). It went well, once I found her house. I was on time though and we all had a lot of fun. She even got 50.00 in free product. Not too shabby for me either.

Decorations are Up

I finally got my halloween decorations up- Yea! Normally by now my house would have been decorated for several weeks, but I suppose it isn't too bad. It is only the 11th today. Still, it is an accomplishment because I have been so very busy lately. Tiffy's dance has started up aain and she's had practice 4xs a week. That plus work and school...that's a lot of time. In the end, she loves it and its worth it.

We also picked out our costumes. Josh and I are going as Emo Punk Rockers and Tiffany is going as Morticia Adams. It should be a lot of fun.

My Brother John

I was siting at Angela's house last night chatting with her when I get this text message from my brother that says "Patti and I just got married." I'm like WHAT? WOW!!! it's amazing. Just spur of the moment thing. So, I of course reply back and tell him congratulations and that I'm happy for him. I love Patti and I think she has been great for my little brother (who really isn't that little...he's 25) and has helped him grow up a lot. We've pretty much thought of her as one of the family for a couple years anyway. So, it works out great. Anyway, they will be holding a reception the weekend after Thanksgiving because that's when he'll be back from Iraq (he's leaving soon). It's a bit surreal to have your younger siblings row up and get married. Josh's youngest brother Adam got married at the end of August and his youngest sister kimber just got married at the end of September (though we were not able to attend either one of the weddings unfortuantely) and now my youngest brother gets married. All I have to say is WOW!

Getting Older and more...

Since my birthday is in a litle over a month, I have been thinking about getting older. I turn 30 this year and its kind of a depresssing thought, but I was watching this old movie last night("The Secret of my Success" with Michael J Fox) that made me think about where I am and how getting older doesn't have to be THAT bad. There is this scene where Vera and Brantley are talking and he says something to her..."you know what your problem is? Someone told you that you have to be 21 forever. You believed them and that's crap!" Anyway, the point is, women (and people in general) should be allowed to get older and not get penalized for it. It's something I'm going to have to think about and make peace with, becase like it or not, I am gettin older and there is nothing I can do to stop it. And if all else fails, I can use a stratey that has worked pretty well in the past... remember that there are others in my life that are older than me. Ha ha ha.

I have decided that I realy want to become a Slumber Party rep in my spare time. No, it's not necessarily a career choice for me, since I still really want to be a Clinical Psychologist. However, it would be a great way to make good money and hopefully someday get that flexible schedule I really want. So, I have decidded to go ahead and do it. So, I'll be singin up and gettin my stuff here soon. I even have my first party booked already. :)

Monet to Picasso

I went to the Monet to Picasso exhibit yesterday and it was fantastic! It always amazes me that some people are so creative and artistic- true talent. To be able to turn your feelings, emotions and thoughts and turn them into amazing works of art.

My favorites at the exhibit were Monet and Rodin. I especially like Rodin's The Thinker." It expresses the thought and concentration that must go into life and figuring certain things out. I feel like that quite often and so I relate very well to the piece.

My sister is coming home

So, I get this call from my sister last night asking me to look up flight information for her. Turns out, she has decided to come back to Utah. She hates Florida and decided it just isn't in her best interest to stay somewhere where she has no support system (emotional or financial). So, she is coming home on the 11th. I am so excited. It's not that we see each other THAT often, only about once a week or so. Still, she's my little sister and one of my best friends. Yea!
