More Portfolio Pictures

A couple of months ago, I worked with a photographer, Trevor from TKM Photography who had agreed to do some TF work for my daughter, Tiffany Hipple, for her updated portfolio pictures. We did 6 different types of shots to show personality and diversify the portfolio.

I recently received some of the work back. Here are the pictures we received back.

We did this really cool series of shots with her being an angry wild child, along with a bunch of others, but I haven't received any of those pics. If I get those in the future (or any others form that day), then I will post them at that time. All in all, I was fairly dissapointed in the end result from that day- and not because of her work, or mine.

TIFFANY'S NEW PORTFOLIO PICS

Tiffany needed some updated modeling pics for per portfolio. So, I contacted a photographer that I know and asked if she would be willing to do some work with her. She readily agreed. The photographer was Meghan from Derico Photography. Even though I am a little biased, as a professional, I believe that the shots turned out amazing and just simply beautiful. We went up to Memory Grove Park.

Tiffany is a funny spunky girl that lets her personality shine through in her pictures. We started out in a winter wonderland type of outfit. We did some shots on a snowy bench that was there.

Next, we moved on to a fountain.

Next, we had her change into a more comfortable outfit and went over to a cool bridge.

We also did some shots by this cool building that has some great pillars.

Finally, we had her play with some snow for some cool snow shots. She enjoyed this part the best! This is why I love working with children, you can just see the joy in their eyes and it lights up the way that you see the world, even if only for a small portion of time.

I think the thing I like the most about working with Meghan (aside from the fact that she is very creative and talented) is her attention to detail. It makes a HUGE difference in how the work turns out.

All in all, it was a fabulous success and I am beyond pleased with the end result. I would highly recommend Meghan to anyone!

Keadon and Tiffy- sledding

There is this boy named Keadon that Tiffy has known for a couple years now. When they went to the same school, he was her boyfriend (lol). He was so nice to her an cute that she loved hanging out with him. Then, he had to move to St George, and then he moved the Georgia. Tiffy was chrushed. She was so sad that he moved and that she wouldn't be able to see him any more. Even though he moved, he kept in touch with her. He would call her at least 1x/week and check in with her and see how she's doing. They would talk and see how their lives were going. He always called when she told him to and when he said he would. It's a very impressive thing for a 9 year old boy to do. :) Anyway, he called her just before NYE and told her that he was moving back. They set a play date. We all decided to go sledding, that way they could all have fun together and still be supervised. LOL! Just cause I think it's cute, doesn't mean I'm stupid. ;)

They had a lot of fun and it shows in the pics.

Even Josh got in on the fun!

Keadon made sure that Tiffy was taken care of. He even occassionally pulled her up the very steep hill.

Tiffy was great with his little sister too.

Josh and Tiff got their time in too...and Josh did his share of the pulling too. LOL. Can I say "someone's got him wraped around their little finger!" So funny.

Here's a great video of the 3 kids going down the hill together:

It was a great time and we all had fun.

New Years Eve

For NYE, we went over to Jeanie and Coby's house to play games and hang out for the night. It is so nice to just be able to chill and have the kids get along and the adults get along. No fighting, no stress, just laughing and a very chill scene.

We started playing kinect and that chilled us all out to play the rest of the games. Of course, Josh and I are very competitive- even with each other. LOL. There was a fun raft game, the guys were pretty funny playing it.

Tiffy and Cayson had a lot of fun playing it too.

The guys were playing this kinect bubble game where you have to flap your arms to go up and get the things. It was so hillarious, I just had to post this video of them doing it. You can tell I thought it was funny by my constant laughing...LOL!

It was a great night. Who can ask for more? Fun, friends, family, laughter!

X-MAS

For Christmas Eve, Josh and I made a turkey dinner. The 3 of us hung out, played games and just had fun as a family in a very low key setting. We each got to open one present before we went to bed. It was a nice chill day.

On Christmas, we got up early and opened presents together. At around noon, we went to my family's house to do the present thing there. Blind and Janna decided that they did want to come, so we picked them up on our way to my dad's. We all "played nice" and had a great time. Patty came over so it was a lot of fun to all be together on x-mas. After the movie, us 4 kids decided to go see a movie. So, we all (except for my parents) went to the movie. It was great!

We got home and had a chance to chill for a bit before we went to bed. Nothing too exciting, but it was easy and chill.

Festival of Trees

I know I am way behind. It has been a crazy month or so for us. :) I will try to catch up as soon as possible.

On the 4th, we went to the Festval of Trees. It was a lot of fun but becasue Josh's psiatic was acting up, it was hard for him to walk around. Either way, we enjoyed ourselves.

Here are some of our favorite displays:

There was also this great sign that I really liked. It reminds you of what is really important. Life's about learning what's really important and learning to see the positive. If you can't see the sunshine for the clouds, life will suck a lot! You will also miss all of the wonderful little things that you get every day.
