Dance Festival

Today was the dance festival at school where all the classes each do a dance. So, Josh and I went to go wach Tiffy. Their dance was cute. She said she wished it was a lot harder because she thought it was WAY too easy, but I thought it was cute anyway.

The beginning of the video is funny cause in true Tiffany fashion, she was telling the boy next to her to get cracking and get in line and get in gear. You can totally tell that she is a dancer. LOL.

When she finished, I saw her and she looked kind of upset. She told me that she hadn't seen where we were and thought that we missed it. I laughed lightly and hugged her and asked her if I've ever missed anything before. She was like."well, no." She was all good once she knew we caught it all. LOL! She is such a funny girl.

We got to take her home afterwards. When we got home, I took a couple pics of her cute hair that I had done that morning.

We all kinda hung out for a while before Josh had to go to work and she played with Chloe for a little bit.

On another note, over the last month I have been home, and it seems to me that me being home has been really good for Tiffy. She knows that she has someone here when she needs me. I think it has definitely help with the stability in her life and I think that it has helped her mood and how she feels about life in general. She seems to have an easier time staying in a good mood. Hopefully, its something that I can keep doing. Though finances may play play a part in that not lasting. We shall see...

Josh is a good sport..

Last Thursday was picture day for Tiffy for her solo comp pics. So, we had to get her all ready. We were goofing around for a bit and decided to "kiss" Josh all over.He he he. He is a pretty good sprt. It cracked me up to see what a good time she was having playing around. We ended up giving him kisses all over his face and neck. It was funny lighthearted family fun.

Hair for Solo's

I have been asked by several people that I post pics of Tiffy and her Hair for her solo. I know that it was hard to see it all and clearly in the pics and video. I have to say, It looked AWESOME!!! People thought it was a wig or hair piece. NOPE! She has awesome hair...course it took a LOT of work. Anyway, here it is....

Nationals 2010! Part 2

The girls were so very cute in their lyrical. They all did really well- probably the best I've ever seen them perform it.

After the girls danced, we had some time to kill before the first awards ceremony. So, we went out by the fountains and picked a spot under the trees to have lunch. The girls and Lawson played around and had some fun.

Afterwards, we went to the 1st awards ceremony. Our girls took 1st place at both their Lyrical and Jazz dances. The mini's took the High Point Award. Good job girls! We only had about an hour till the next ceremony. So, we went back to the hotel to change and touch up. We went back for the 2nd awards ceremony. The girs had fun dancing. It's funny to watch them- they are always so in their own little world.

After the 2nd awards ceremony, we got to go to dinner. We decided to go to Spaghetti Factory with Kristin and the kids. After dinner, we went to the mall and looked around to kill some time. The girls got a pair of necklaces with "best" and "friends". LOL!

We then went back for the final and 3rd award ceremony. We were all so tired by then, it was a relief to go back to the hotel.

In the morning, we took off for home. It was nice to get home. When we did gethome, we all chilled for a while and watched a movie. Tiffy and I went out and got some sun for a bit. Then, Josh found out that Autozone had ordered himt he wrong part. So, we had to go to Salt Lake to pick it up. We decided to get some dinner and watch Letters to juliet while we were there so we didn't waste our very precious family time that we had. It was a long day and weekend, but we made the best of it and ended up having a nice time together.

Nationals 2010! Part 1

This weekend was INSANE! We had Nationals Dance Competition at UVU.

Tiffany had her solo on Friday. So, we went up then so she could perform. She did really well, but when she went to do her heel stretch, she messed up. So, it fell. She kept going and finished strong, but was SO frustrated about her mistake. She worried that it would cost her Queen. I had to remind her that no matter what, I am SO proud of her and that she has done an AMAZING job this year. We went to the awards ceremony that night, and she was playing around at the jam and I caught a great roundoff midair.

She ended up getting 1st Attendant (which is the spot right below queen). The competition was REALLY tough at the queens invitational division (which is what she was in, since she had taken 2 queens at 2 regional comps). So, still pretty good!

The following day, on Saturday, we had team competitions. For our Jazz dance, we had taken 1st place at previous regional competition. So, we were in the invitational division of the championships and therefore up against the other teams in that category who had taken 1st. When Tiff as performing, it seemed as though she was having a harder time wth this dance and seemed to be a bit off. She still did really well.

We had both our dances really close together again and we had 15 minutes to get the girls ready and go from curly hair to sleek buns- which is an utter nightmare since Tiff has SO much hair. It's hard enough getting it in a bun when its fully wet, much less when its dry AND curly! They ran to a different place to perform their next dance which was pretty far away so we had to rush. We got there in time for them to go on.
