Weight Loss

So, I've been going to the gym every day...and I haven't experienced a lot of success with weight loss. I have lost 7 lbs in 4 weeks, but I have also lost a total of 9 inches overall. So, that helps make up for the fact that I haven't lost much weight. It helps keep me on track and helps motivate me to keep going. Yea for me!

Saturday, January 10th

It's hard to believe it's almost the middle of January already. It astonishes me how very fast time flies.

This last week has been busy even though I was only at work 4 of the 5 days. I had an interview for a job on Thursday. It went really well and I have a follow up interview next Tuesday. I also have another interview a couple hours later that same day.

Tonight, I watched Jayden and Taylor for Angela and Alton while they went on a much needed date night. I completely get the need to see one's spouse away from the children. Not that we don't love having our kids around, but sometimes its good for us to take a break and focus on our partner to really remember shy we are together and why we fell in love in the first place.

The kids are always so funny together- They crack me up! They love each other and play so well. None of us had eaten when the kids arrived. So, I decided to make steak burrito bowls and have them help me. I always used to help my mom in the kitchen and I learned a lot of useful skills. I think that learning to really get the "feel" for cooking starts at a young age. They all love helping and do a great job.

Happy New Year 2009- my goals

This year, we decided to stay in which is very unlike us. I rented some movies and we made dinner and had a time with just the 3 of us. it was nice. The next day on NYD, I got up and went in to the gym to work out.

You see, my goal for last year was to lose 50 lbs, and I did it! yea for me. My goal for this year, is to lose 35 lbs, but I would love to lose 45 total. At that point, I will be at a really good weight for my age, height and bone structure. I don't plan on being one of those skinny unhealthy people. No, I am doing this right diet, exercise, and etc. I am going to work on getting more sleep as well. I have gotten approval by my doctor to drink a little more fluid. So, hopefully that will help me lose some weight. It's difficult with my Meniere's...but all I can do is put in the work and hope that my body feels like cooperating.

The new Gold's Gym just opened by my house, so I've started going there every day. It will be a good thing to be able to go to the gym every day (instead of having to work out at home). Angela also got a membership there. So, hopefully we can work out together at least a couple times a week. It's always a lot more fun to work out with a buddy than alone.

I am also giving myself a semester off of school to try to get centered again and get healthy. I am excited to see if I can do this. I need to learn to focus on me sometimes. Maybe I will get something good to come out of this crappy economy after all. I guess we can only wait and see. I am also excited to have a litle more time with Tiffany.
