4th of July

Hey Everybody. It's Josh. I know it's about time that I actually get on here and mention something from my side, but you know how us guys are. We dink till the last possible moments when it comes to journal writing or anything that has to do about feelings and stuff. Well, last weekend was great. I actually got to spend two whole days with Cio and Tiffany. It was the 4th of July and I had forgotten how much fun it is to actually see my family for more than a day. Crazy Right?! Well it was a lot of fun. We invited Jeanie, coby and the kids over for a BBQ. Coby had to work so Jeanie and the kids came over. We like doing things with them. Sure sucked that Coby had to work. I understand though the need to provide, so it's all good. Ken and Teresa came over as well. They're a blast as well. I'm always laughing when they're here. Teresa brought her Killer Pasta Salad. yum yum. Now I've got two more days off and I'm totally going to take advantage of the days off. It wont happen again till the first week of August when we go on vacation. Vacation Baby!!! ttys

Alysa's Sleepover Party

One of Tiffany's friends Alysa had a birthday party. For her birthday she decided to have a sleepover. Tiffy was super excited to go and counted down the days till she could go. I like seeing her excited over simple things like a sleepover. It makes me smile.

Our 10th Anniversary

It is utterly amazing sometimes to think that Josh and I have been married for 10 whole years. Marriage, as we've found out, is a lot of hard work and takes a LOT of patience (from both parties). I think that it's worked out because Josh and I are SO different and yet very much alike. Our goals, dreams, and all the important things are the same, but our personalities are very opposite. So, it works well to balance each other out. When one freaks out, the other is the calming one. All I really have to say is "HA!" to those who said we would never make it. We did and are doing great.

Josh was a cheese ball and did something on the lawn. He was very proud of himself and here it is over a week later and it is still there. LOL!

We decided to go to dinner with our friends Jeanie and Coby. We would have loved Angie and Alton to join us as well, but they were on vacation. We all went to dinner at Rodizio. The food was great and we were all stuffed.

Afterwards, we went to Greenstreet and played some pool. We then went to Tavernacle. The music was lame that day, but we had fun. Jeanie and Coby crack me up and always make us laugh pretty hard. LOL!!!

Girls Night Out

Jeanie and I have both been under a lot of pressure lately. So, we decided to go hang out for a while. We had the kids so we sent them to this place called Buddy Bins where they watch kids and the kids can play and feed them and have fun. The kids are happy cause they get to play and hang out and we get a few hours to ourselves. LOL.

Jeanie and I just went to dinner and chatted but it was nice to get to know her better and just hang out.

The Dogs

I have been feeling so overwhelmed that we decided to minimize costs and stress. So, we decided to get rid of the extra dogs and just keep 1 for Tiffy. We decided to give them to people we know who have wanted dogs and have the means and family and time to entertain them. So, even though it was sad we decided to do it. So, we did. Here are a couple pics, before they went to their new homes.

Traffic and the Hilton

Pretty much every week I take Tiffy to her modeling and acting class. We went to class a few weeks ago and were on our way home when we hit MAJOR traffic. We weren't going slow. No, we were at a complete stop!

At first Tiffy thought it was interesting and pretty happy.

We sat in traffic for 2.5 hours and were wondering what had happened. Tiffy was so beyond bored!!!

We finally started moving, and we had to go through all of the semi's that had been forced to pull over and wait it out.

When we finally got to the front of the line, we found out that they had detoured us back to SLC. They suggested going to 201 instead. So, we took the road there which was a dirt road and back by the water treatment plant. Gross!

We finally get there and they have now shut 201 down too. So, we get stuck in traffic again. When we finally got out of there, we decided to go to a movie to wait out the time until they opened the road back up.

When we got out of the movie, I called to check if there was any update and my friend, Lesley, told me that they did not expect it to be open for several hours. At this point, Tiffy and I were both just exhausted. Lesley, called Steve our GM and he agreed to give me a free room for the night so I could get her to bed and rest a bit. I was very grateful that he did such a nice thing.

I think that is one of the things I will miss the most about the hotel...that we care about people and out employees. It has been a nice place to work.
