Vacation 09-Part 6

On Thursday, the sun didn't come out at all. We were pretty annoyed with it, but decided to make the best of it.

We also found out that Josh hadn't taken the stinger out after all, he just thought he had. I was wondering about it when it still hadn't gone down. So, I was checking his hand and I found the stinger. So, we took it out and pretty soon after he started getting more normal- especially since he didn't have to take Benadryl anymore. lol.

The guys cleaned out the freezer, and we all hung out, started drinking and played card games.

The guys started being silly then and started flashing signs...og what, i'm not sure, but we laughed nonetheless. LOL!

They all harrassed me for not drinking as quickly as they were, but I was having lots of fun just laughing at them.

When we put everyone down for a nap, we decided to take a swim. We were getting a bit of cabin fever with it being such small quarters. So, we all went into the lake- even though it was 62F out. lol.

It was a good day, just not one I can do every day. I gotta say, though, I can't remember the last time I've laughed so hard! I definitely got an ab workout that day.

Vacation 09-Part 5

The next day, the sun didn't come out until 2 pm and it was way cold, but we decided to go out on the boat anyway. The girls went out first, then Coby went with them and brought Cayson with them as well. We made sure to go slow.

I decided to go with the girls afterwards, but I brought my shades and earrings. lol. Not really a bit shocker to anyone who knows me. he he.

We also took the 2 boys out...I wasn't mean, but not too nice. he he. It looked like they were holding hands out there. lol. They weren't- just the positioning of the hand straps, but it was pretty amusing to us.

Afterwards, it was time for dinner. It is really pretty out on Lake Tapps!

Vacation 09-Part 4

Eventually, the sun came back out and we went back in the water. It was a bit brisk, so we decided to do some more boating.

I just love watching Tiffy tube because she sits there and laughs the whole time. She will close her eyes sometimes and enjoy the feeling. Its hillarious!

Everyone got turns and they all had fun.

Eventually, it was time to come on in for the day...

Vacation 09-Part 3

On Tuesday, the sun didn't come out until aboout 12p, but we made the best of it. Jeanie and I went for a run in the morning, while the guys did some yard work.

While they were working on the yard, they came across some wasps and pissed them off with the weed wacker, so they attacked the guys. By the time they realized what was happening, it was too late. Coby got stung in the eye and Josh got stung on his hand. The kids weren't right there- they were inside so they were okay. So, they had to make a run to the store as soon as we got back for some benadryl. Poor boys!

We went out in the sun a bit later.

By this point, Josh was fully doped up on Benadryl and the swelling in his hand wasn't going down. He looked like a zombie.

I got bored cause the sun was hiding, so I did my makeup again and I gave Jeanie a makeover - lol. If I was at home, I would have changed some of the colors, since I'm darker than she is, but overall, I think it turned out cute. I took a super cute pic of Jeanie and Coby- what a cute couple. lol.

The girls had fun playing around together inside.

Vacation 09- Part 2

we spent Monday in the water all day pretty much. Coby had a bit of a hard time riding the turtle and kept falling off. We laughed pretty hard at that sight.

Our neighbor lent us their tube- which held 3 people, since ours only holds one, and we took advantage of it. It as very nice of them to do so.

I tanned while they took Jeanie and the 2 girls on the tube, then they took Jeanie and Coby for a pretty good ride, then we took Josh for a ride. lol.

It was a fun day, after a long while in the water, the girls wanted to go inside and so they played ponies inside.

Vacation 09- part 1

For vacation this year we went to the cabin up on Lake Tapps, but we made a detour to Bob and Helene's place in Enterprise, Oregon (AKA boonyville- LOL!). We left at 6 AM on Saturday 8/1 and got there in the afternoon- yes we drove. Jeanie and Coby were going on vacation with us, but since Coby had a golf tournament that day, they weren't leaving till about 1 PM. So, they were going to stay at a hotel that night and meet up with us the next day on the way to the cabin.

Once we got to Bob and Helene's, we got settled a bit, then went out on the lake up there- which is about 5 minutes away. I gotta say, it is pretty, but its so far out there, that I just don't see the appeal. I'm just too much of a city slicker. ha ha. This is why parent's shouldn't force their kids to camp and do things that they hate with a vengeance- you may change your kids outlook for LIFE. I suppose if I hadn't been forced into it the way that I had (and if other things were different as well) I may have a different take on it, but I don't so really at the end of the day, its a mute point.

Anyway, we got in the boat and had ourselves a dip in the lake. Josh got to drive the boat, which I swear brings a physical change in him. He is more at peace in a boat and on a lake. It cracks me up, but I also really like seeing him chilled and peaceful like that. It makes me relax to see Josh and Tiffy chill like that.

We also worked with Tiffy a bit on positioning and etc for the skiing. She was a bit too nervous and cold, so she didn't actually try skiing, but that's ok. As long as she tries it by the end of the trip, its all good. She is her fathers daughter and so I know she can do it. lol.

She was a bit cold when she got back in, but it was nice to relax in the lake for a while.

The next day, we got an early start to our day and were off by 6:30a and were on our way to the cabin. Yea! we got there around 3:30p and so by the time we were all set up and had brought everything in, we were all itching to get in the water. We enjoyed ourselves in the water. It was gorgeous!
