Comp Team Tryouts- Did she make the team?

Thursday was the tryout clinic for the competition teams for next season (09-10). I have been talking about getting Tiffy into the next level up (which is Hot Shotz) because I really feel that she is ready to go up with the older girls and be challenged more. This year was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. The only thing is that she wasn't challenged a whole lot because some of the new girls on the team just weren't up to her level so they had to take out some of the harder things they were going to have them do because the younger ones just couldn't do it. Bummer, I know.

Anyway, I had to rush home after work on Thursday to get Tiff ready for tryouts at 5P. She went and was told to stay for the older girls routine as well. So, she was at the clinic for 2.5 hours. Only 4 girls were asked to stay and try out for the Hot Shotz (Sammy, Alisa, Taylor and Tiffy)...so Yea! She practiced hard and learned the routine and a couple other things they wanted them to be able to do. Things like the shoulder roll and a couple leaps and stuff like that. Yes, it means she'll be on a whole different group of girls, but it's all good. After the tryout clinic, we came home and she worked on the routine and also worked on her shoulder roll and other moves that she'd learned. She was aware of the importance of nailing that move because it could be the difference between making Hot Shotz and staying on Starletz. So, she worked really hard on Thursday night and on Friday to get the moves down.

Saturday morning was nuts as always because she has her acting/modeling workshop. I had to hurry and rush her to tryouts and was 5 minutes late, but they let her in. Phew. I was speeding, but what else could I do? I had already picked the latest time for her to try out (12:45PM). She ran in. She came out about 15 minutes later and said she thought she did good. She said the only thing she was worried about was the double pirouette they had her do. She said she did it wrong, but she tried her best anyway. Good for her! I am so proud of her for trying her best and doing it anyway. :)

This afternoon (while we were waiting for results to be announced) I asked Tiffy how she was feeling and how she thinks she did..

A little before 6 PM, we went over to the studio to see if the list had been posted yet. I had to wait for a few minutes, but then when I checked.....

So, She made the team. YEA!!!! She is really excited to be on Hot Shotz. She is funny because she gets kinda quiet on camera. LOL! She had to call her best friend Taylor S. to tell her she made the team. She also wanted to tell her that Taylor made the same team as her as well. So, they get to be on the same team. They posted the team in number format this year (and not in names), so we're not sure if Sammy or Alisa made the team as well...but we sure hope so.
